Abstract
An elevateci heart rate (HR) is an independent risk factor lor mor tality and morbidity in patients with acute heart failure. Pharmacologic inhibition of the l(f) current provides the opportunity of pure HR reduction, wh1ch has been associateci with anti-ischemic efficacy w1thout any effect on haemodynamic or rny ocardial contractility. SHIFT trial has evaluated /vabradine benefits in heart failure patients showing a significant decrease in the composite rate of card, ovascular death or heart-failure hosp1talization.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
